Madrid has been the city chosen to host the new edition of Aero-Engines Europe, the leading event
exclusively dedicated to the trends and issues related to the region’s aero engine community,
gathering airlines, OEMs, MROs, lessors, suppliers and consultancies.

Iberia Maintenance, which in recent years has strengthened its commitment to the engine business,
will be the host of this two-day conference, which will take place on September 13th and 14th.

Two days dedicated to aero engines  

The event will be opened by Enrique Robledo, Technical Director, and María Guilarte, MRO Transformation Director at Iberia Maintenance. Both will be responsible for the opening keynote presentation, where they will review the challenges facing the industry, and the opportunities that the future offers and will explain how Iberia Maintenance has positioned itself as one of the leading suppliers of aeronautical maintenance.  

This edition of the Aero-Engines Europe will register a record attendance of more than 600 people and will host more than ten panels and round tables with the participation of the main representatives of the industry with the aim of shaping the future of the industry. 

Luis Filipe Parreira Augusto, Senior Manager of Engine Parts Repair Services at Iberia Maintenance; Luis Pflüger, ERP, Processes and Digitalization Director at Iberia Maintenance; and Iván González Vallejo, MRO Business Strategy & Supply Chain Director at Iberia Maintenance, will participate in several of these panel discussions.

In addition, on Thursday, Iberia Maintenance will open the doors of its engine workshop to the participants in Aero Engines to show them its facilities in Madrid: nearly 200,000 square metres dedicated to aeronautical maintenance, where 3,000 highly qualified employees work and serve a portfolio of more than 100 customers

GTF, Iberia Mantenimiento’s major project    

Iberia Maintenance is currently in the process of qualification for the overhaul and repair of a new engine model: the GTF™ PW1100G-JM engines that power the new generation aircraft of Airbus A230neo. Iberia has already obtained the capability to carry out this work and is in the process of training its workforce. The first induction of this engine type is expected to happen in the last quarter of this year.
